I am enamored with the latest Metropolitan Home edition. It is white all over the place! Clean and fresh and gorgeous. The issue comes at us from all over the design palette of white inspired interiors.

It was a bit over my budget, but I think well worth it. My husband and I actually spent Christmas at their place and had ourselves quite a nice time!

Mr. Jamie Drake...his interiors are positively flawless, extremely invigorating, and certainly vibrant. A man whose color infused room designs never go unnoticed- especially by design enthusiasts, bloggers, and national design publications. With clients including NY's Mayor Bloomberg, well, I think it's safe to say that Jamie has "made it"!
While Alessandra Branca is the "queen of red", Jamie could certainly be the "king of lavendar". I am no stranger to color myself. It is hard for me to do a room in all neutrals- which is why I admire Jamie's work so much.
I can't take my eyes away from the piece of art over the sectional (painted by Dan Christensen)- so simple but so moving! This attention-grabbing den is located in the Manhattan residence of two art enthusiasts. Jamie had almost a completely clean slate to work with (with the exception of fabulous art pieces that the client previously owned- not a bad deal I must say! I love all of their art).
A marble top table sits upon a rug designed by Jamie himself. The rug's unique color palette connects to all of the other textiles and upholstery in the room.
Researching Jamie, I came across even more rooms of his that I never knew who the designer was. Turns out, a lot of my favorite rooms are in fact, Jamie's!

It is a great reference for designers and homeowners alike. One of the perks of purchasing the book is that it comes with a free subscription to Domino! (perfect timing since mine was up in December anyways!)
Before Christmas officially ends in a couple of hours, I wanted to send you all this link to Valorie Hart's home all decorated for Christmas- she writes the popular blog, Visual Vamp.
She used non-traditional Christmas colors to decorate (which I LOVE) and pillows "wrapped" in ribbons! Can she be any cuter, seriously?
Various shelves and tables throughout the store with a mix of accessories from glass to ceramic to wood.
I LOVED these wall clocks! They're reminiscent of the Nelson Wall Clock but not as pricey.
This little cracked ceramic piece would look so cute with a flower or some greenery sprouting out of the top.
And my favorite piece, this gorgeous vase covered in ceramic rose buds!
So if you need some last minute gifts and you're in Brooklyn stop by Yu Interiors in Fort Greene. There's something for everyone! (And everything is 20% off right now!!)
